What I’m Thankful for This Year

Is it me or did November skip a couple of weeks because there’s no way that tomorrow is Thanksgiving already!? I’ve noticed that the weeks and months are starting to fly by and when I look back, I find myself wondering where the time went and why it flew by so quickly. As I’m getting older (she writes at 21…), time goes by faster and faster. I’m starting to understand the importance of mindfulness, not just for my wellbeing, but because it can help slow down the illusion of time. So since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I’m sharing what I’m thankful for this year.

I’m Thankful For…

My boyfriend. I’m going to keep this short because I could go on forever about him, but he’s the sweetest and I love him so much.

Blogging Friends. One thing that stayed consistent this year is my friends I’ve made through blogging that are so kind and supportive.

My Family. If I see them all the time or once a year, I’m happy to have them in my life.

Safety. I’m lucky enough to have the privilege of safety where I live.

This Blog. This whole endeavor is one of the best things that I have ever created. I’m proud of it.

Education. College has been a pain and difficult, but it’s setting me up for a better future and making me a better person for society.

Food. I’m grateful that I have warm and nutritious food to eat in my home.

My Home. I have a roof over my head and a bed with an unnecessary amount of blankets and pillows to sleep in.

Internet. The Internet has its downsides, but its also given me great friends and opportunities I wouldn’t have without the Internet.

My Job. I complain relentlessly about my job, but I am thankful that I even have one and have future connections for my career.

Grateful for small things, big things, and everything in between

Kindness. The world is a mess right now, but pockets of kindness are what makes it a little more bearable.

Flowers. Flowers make everything better and more beautiful, that’s a fact.

Music. What’s the point of life without music? It might be worth living but it would be a lot less fun without it.

Passion. Passion is equivalent to magic in my eyes. It could be my passion or someone else’s, it doesn’t really matter – it’s incredible.

Creativity. If I couldn’t be creative, or enjoy other people’s creative works, I don’t know what I would do with myself.

Dancing. Good or bad. Slow or silly. Dancing never fails to me in a better mood even if it’s just for a while.

The Bachelor World. This sounds like a trivial one, but other fans of the show that I’ve been able to connect with has been so fun.

Hugs. Hugs are the best thing in the world.

Holidays. Kindness gets amped up. Pretty decorations. The perfect excuse to literally not do a thing.

Laughter. Making other people laugh is one of the best feelings. Laughing until it hurts comes in a very close second.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow if you celebrate, and if you’re going out Black Friday shopping be safe!

What are some things you’re thankful for this year?
