It’s day 2 of 12 Days of Christmas, and I got a bit crafty for today’s post and made a button Christmas wreath craft. I found this idea here while doing my daily browse on Pinterest. Now, I’m not the most craft-creating person, but every now and again I like to try something easy. Even with an easy craft that Pinterest moms have their small children do, I can still get frustrated.
To be honest, this took me two separate times to finish because I was getting so annoyed that I couldn’t get this exactly like the picture. So, instead of finishing it haphazardly in annoyance, I decided to stop and wait a few days to finish it. It’s not the best, and definitely doesn’t look anywhere near as great as the ones on Pinterest, but I think it came out quite cute.
Here’s what you’re going to need:
· A square canvas
· Hot glue gun (or regular glue if your kids are doing it)
· Green buttons
· Red pompoms (I forgot to use these – oops!)
Then you’re just going to arrange the buttons in the shape and places that you want them to be, then glue them down to the canvas. You can use the red pompoms as holly to decorate the wreath, and add a bow at the top to complete it. And then there you have it, a button Christmas wreath – an inexpensive and festive activity!
