It’s Day 4 of 7 Days of Halloween! Fall and Halloween décor can be outrageously expensive, and I don’t know about you but I’m not about to pay $20+ on Etsy for something that I can easily make myself for under $10 like this DIY maple leaf mason jar.
I stumbled across this idea on Pinterest, here. It originally called to use Mod Podge which I started the project with, but it just wouldn’t stick. So, I swapped the Mod Podge out for a hot glue gun. It worked so much better, and I only managed to burn myself once – if I only get burned once using it, I consider it a win.
To make this Maple Leaves Mason Jar you’re going to need:
· A mason jar
· Real of fake leaves (I bought fake ones on Amazon here)
· Hot glue & glue gun
Then, you’re just going to arrange the leaves around the jar as desired. To fit smaller gaps, I cut up some of the leaves to cover it. I didn’t cover the entire jar with leaves, I left some spaces open.
Let me know if you try this out for yourselves, and what’re your favorite DIYs for the fall/Halloween time?
