Simple On The Go + Updated Skincare Routine

*I received Simple On The Go Products as compliments of Simple Skincare as part of the #SimpleOnTheGo #ChooseKindess Challenge. All opinions on the products are my own and honest reviews of them.*

Can I just say how excited I am to be writing this post for Simple On The Go products? I have been using Simple Skincare products since high school. I’ve tried other brands to see if anything would work better, but I’ve always come back to Simple. When I received these products in the mail, I was honestly overjoyed and couldn’t wait.

I’ve made a couple of skincare posts in the past, one in 2017 and my summer 2018 routine. And I’m here to give you yet another one because I think I’ve finally found what works best for me at this stage of my life. Of course, I’m always open to trying products that are more natural for my body and more Earth-friendly – but also budget-friendly. So, if you have any suggestions about other products that I should try definitely let me know!

Simple On The Go

Here’s what I really love about this set, aside from it being convenient for travel, it uses 62% less plastic. As other Simple products are 50ml packs which inevitably uses for plastic. These eco-friendly products leave your skin clean and refreshed – who doesn’t want that? We love being an environmentally-conscious consumer.

Kind to Skin Mini Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar water has been something I’ve been interested in for a few years now, but I just never got around to purchasing. So, what better time to finally try this product than now? The micellar water gently lifts the makeup off your face and unclogs your pores which does double the work than makeup wipes.

Here’s what’s in it: triple purified water, vitamin B3, and vitamin C. And here’s what’s not in it: no artificial fragrance, no color or dye, no drying alcohol, no parabens, no added phthalates, no harsh chemicals, and no animal-derived ingredients.

Kind to Skin Mini Moisturizing Facial Wash

I’ve been using this facial wash the most since I was in high school. I actually started with their foaming cleanser and that was my absolute favorite for a while until all the drug stores in my area stopped carrying it for whatever reason. At that point, I switched to this one. As I’ve mentioned, I have tried other face washes, but this is the one I always circle back to and I have zero complaints about it.

Here’s what’s in it: pro-vitamin B5, vitamin E, and bisabolol. And here’s what’s not in it: no artificial fragrance, no color or dye, no drying alcohol, no parabens, no added phthalates, no harsh chemicals, and no animal-derived ingredients.

Kind to Skin Mini Hydrating Light Moisturizer

In addition to using their facial wash, I have used their light moisturizer a lot since high school. However, I have used it less frequently. A couple of summers ago, I actually bought the sunscreen version of this moisturizer without even realizing it. I used it for a month and noticed my face was breaking out and not clearing up. Then I finally noticed what I did. Since then I’ve had to buy different facial moisturizers because, again, all the local drug stores stopped selling this version for some reason. So, I’m really excited to have this back in my life because I do love it so much since it never feels heavy on my face like other moisturizers can feel.

Here’s what’s in it: pro-vitamin B5, vitamin E, glycerin, and borage seed oil. And here’s what’s not in it: no artificial fragrance, no color or dye, no drying alcohol, no parabens, no added phthalates, no harsh chemicals, and no animal-derived ingredients.

Kind to Skin Cleansing Wipes

I’ve never used Simple’s cleansing wipes before. I have used the Neutrogena wipes, Target’s generic brand of makeup wipes, and at one point I was just straight up using coconut oil. I used Simple’s cleansing wipes for the first time last week, and I’m not even lying when I tell you they’re probably my favorite ones to use next to coconut oil. Why? Because I didn’t feel like I was tugging at my skin to get my makeup off and didn’t feel as abrasive as the other wipes I’ve used. My face was very happy it wasn’t having that slight burning feeling afterward.

Here’s what’s in these wipes: triple purified water, vitamin B5, and vitamin E. And here’s what’s not in the wipes: no artificial fragrance, no color or dye, no drying alcohol, no parabens, no added phthalates, no harsh chemicals, and no animal-derived ingredients. Aside from the different vitamins in these wipes and the micellar water – they aren’t all that different. It’s all about preference in getting your makeup off before bed!

They even have a compostable cleansing wipe available which is fantastic.
