In Memory of the Lives Taken at the Route 91 Harvest Festival
I had already planned to upload this post before the devastating tragedy that happened at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. At first, I wasn’t going to upload it this week, but I changed my mind when I realized I have a (very small) platform to use my voice for things such as this. Concerts should be a place where you can go to escape from reality for a bit and feel safe and have fun listening to music with your friends. Not once have I ever felt unsafe at a concert, but I also never thought in the moments that I am there that something like this could happen. Mothers and fathers lost sons and daughters. Wives lost their husbands. Friends lost their friends that night. And that, simply, is horrific.
My thoughts are with all those affected by this, but thoughts and prayers can only do so much. How many more times do we have to wake up to a headline that reads “Deadliest Shooting in Modern American History” before we do something about it? It’s never too late to do something. Let’s prevent this from happening again. I encourage you to join the movement to end gun violence and text: ACT to 64433. As well as you can donate to the Music City Cares Funds. As well as you can buy Maren Morris’ song featuring Vince Gill, Dear Hate and all proceeds will go to the Music City Cares Funds.
Luke Bryan’s Hunting, Fishing, and Loving Everday Tour
There are a lot of things that I have an immense love for in this life, but three of them are clothes, country music, and concerts. And these three can easily be combined to give me some of the best nights of my life.
A few weeks ago, my aunt and uncle took me to see Luke Bryan as an early birthday present. And it was one of the best shows that I have ever been to; granted I’ve only been to 6 concerts in my lifetime, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Luke Bryan is an outstanding performer.
The best thing about concert days, aside from the music, of course, is the part where I get to pick out an outfit that goes with the vibe of the concert and doing my makeup while listening to the playlist of songs by the artist I’m going to see.

So, my outfit consists of this Forever 21 mauve knit open-back dress. Then I added an AEO boyfriend fit utility shirt (similar link). Finally pairing it with these Charlotte Russe western booties (similar link) to give it more of a country vibe without being too much.
I plan on attending a lot more concerts in the new year, so let me know what your favorite concert was that you have been to!
